Experience

Even as a youth in my teens, sharing knowledge came easily to me, usually in areas of algebra and geometry.  I peer tutored every Monday afternoon my last 3 years of high school. Seeing those individuals succeed drove my ambition to reach out on a grander scale.  So it was with great joy when my grandmother and grandfather asked me to assist them in learning algebra for the GED test; I readily accepted the challenge.  And what a reward it was when they too, 46 years behind schedule, earned their high school diplomas.  In that moment, I knew I was made to be a teacher. I was 15 years old.

It has been 22 years since that joyous event, but my focus has slightly shifted to the languages.  After brief stays in the Dominican Republic and Mexico, I now "tutor" in the official language of those countries.

I am now in my 16th year of teaching professionally. ¡Me enchanta!
