Anadarko High School FCCLA(Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) Officers attended the Lead Conference for the South Region today in Duncan, Oklahoma. Officers heard from keynote speaker, Dustin Gaylon. Mr. Gaylon inspired the officers to be leaders who show up when it’s hard, with hands out ready to serve, that celebrate theirs and others successes, and to be leaders who cheer others on even when they’re not in the room. Each Officer then attended tracks that equipped them with information to run chapter meetings and ideas for their chapter and roles as officers. Our AHS FCCLA officers are excited to bring all they learned back to their chapter and put their ideas and information into action.
FCCLA offers intracurricular resources and opportunities for students to pursue careers that support families. Since 1945, FCCLA Members have been making a difference in their families, careers, and communities by addressing important personal, work, and societal issues through Family and Consumer Sciences education.
