AHS FCCLA members attended the South 2 District Conference at Tuttle High School today. Students heard from keynote speakers, Caleb and Jeremy Freeman. They were encouraged to be like Caleb and never give up despite obstacles they face now or in the future. They were reminded they have purpose, priorities and to persevere. The theme for today’s conference was “A New Hope: May FCCLA Be With You.” Schools were encouraged to design a T-shirt and banner using the theme. AHS FCCLA won the best T-shirt! We are super proud of these students. Be on the lookout for our community service project information coming soon!

AHS Band won the "Spirit Award" this weekend at the SW OK Band Showdown. Our band created posters for all the teams in attendance and either displayed them during their performance or posted them on their bus if they performed at the same time as the AHS band. We are so proud of our band for stepping up and cheering on everyone at the performance.
